• LANACare's soothingly soft, reusable nursing pads, in organic merino wool, were specially designed by a Danish nurse. The pads are made of interwoven wool fibers, making them light-weight and absorptive. Many find them more comfortable than disposables or cotton - wool absorbs the milk, keeping skin dry, and breathes, to maintain comfortable temperature in warmth or cold. These are new mom essentials!
• Most women need only 2-3 pairs for entire nursing period. Wool's self-cleansing properties prolong need for washing. Wool's natural oil, lanolin is activated as the wool absorbs moisture. Wash, on average every couple weeks with lanolin-replenishing woolwash to maintain wool's unique properties.
• Scandinavian midwives have traditionally advised breastfeeding mothers to keep their breasts warm to help prevent plugged ducts. Larger sizes provide gentle, soothing warmth and are intended to fill the entire bra cup. Wool's breathability and temperature-regulating properties maintain a comfortable temperature against skin.
